Mr. P.T. Govindarajan [PTG for short] completed his bachelors in commerce from Bangalore University, India in 1971. He had a rare opportunity to intern with the prestigious C.A. firm R G N Price & Co, Bangalore, India from 1971 to 1975.  In 1976, he concluded his industrial training with the esteemed Hindustan Lever Ltd., which is a branch of Unilever, a multinational corporation head quartered in London, dealing in consumer goods. After completing his masters in charted accountancy from the Institute of Charted Accountants of India in 1976, PTG was inducted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and later as a Fellow member of the Institute.

Soon after qualifying, PTG established a private practicing firm in Bangalore in partnership, under the name Boal & Rajan and moved to Chennai to set up a branch of the firm. In 1981, he opened a firm in Chennai, India under the name, PTG Rajan & Associates. In 1987, he expanded the firm by amalgamating with Gokul, Chakravarthy &Company, New Delhi and founding Rajan, Chakravarthy &Associates. Now, PTG is a leading partner of this firm offering excellent services in consultation regarding direct & indirect taxes and financial services such as auditing, project reports, institutional funding, accounting services and corporate planning.  Clients receive individual, expert advice about the best methods to take care of their professional needs.

His wealth of knowledge pertaining to company law, taxation, accounting standards, business scenarios & other professional domains in general and current international politico-economics in particular, make PTG a unique charted accountant. PTG is also a Rotarian and a humanitarian. He has played significant roles in the development of charitable organizations such as Rotary Charitable Trusts and Downs Research Society. He has two daughters, both establishing themselves academically in the U.S.A. He resides in Chennai with his wife, Dr. Meera Govindarajan, a surgical pathologist and his favorite boxer - Buttons and favourite Lab/ Golden retriever mix, Berry.

PARTNER: CA.R.SRIDHARAN, B.Com, FCA
He graduated in Commerce from the Madras University. He underwent C.A. articleship with Rajan, Chakravarthy & Associates. During his articleship, he has handled statutory, internal and tax audits of Public & Private limited companies, partnerships and proprietary concerns in manufacturing, finance, investment, hire purchase, consultancy, transport, trading, professionals, contracts, and construction activities, banks and stock brokers. He also familiarized himself thoroughly with maintenance of books of accounts and income tax matters.

He joined industry and served in finance and financial service companies, handling secretarial, accounting, audit, taxation and HRD matters. He acquainted himself in areas like labour laws and corporate affairs.

He was in independent practice till June 2006, during which he handled matters connected with the entertainment & road transport industry, dealing with project report preparations, cost control, due diligence, bank funding etc. Thereafter he has joined the firm as a partner w.e.f July’06. 

He has been teaching subjects of direct taxs, costing, management & corporate accounting and related subjects for over 10 years. He has been visiting faculty at colleges like Meenakshi College for Women & D G Vaishnav College and institutions like LIBA [Loyola Institute of Business Administration]. He has been associated with the Board of Studies of the ICAI and ICS.

He has handled bank audits at various levels including branch statutory audits and concurrent/ revenue/ stock audits. He has conducted pre-loan assessments of major corporate on behalf of lending institutions like Global Trade Finance Ltd. His specialties include VAT, ESI & PF, Service tax, business valuations and CMA/ term loan assessment forms.

He is engaged in Bhagavan Nama Sangeerthanam [propagation of the name of God Vishnu] and alleviation of suffering of the poor through public charitable Trusts. He is the Managing trustee of Shree Raghuveera Bhaktha Samajam & S Ranganathan Charitable Trust. He is married to Priya and has two lovely daughters going to primary school.

PARTNER: CA.SRIKANTH CHAKRAVARTHY, B.Com, FCA
He graduated in Commerce from the Delhi University in 1976.  He underwent C.A. articleship with V. Sampath Ayyangar & Co., New Delhi and later with Sastry K. Anandam & Co., New Delhi.  After qualification in 1981, he set up practice under the name Gokul, Chakravarthy & co. In 1987, Gokul, Chakravarthy & Company AND PTG Rajan & Associates decided to join hands and formed Rajan, Chakravarthy & Associates. He is in charge of the firm’s New Delhi office.

In the firm’s practice, he has been handling audits of companies and other entities engaged in various businesses viz. container transport, freight forwarding, travel agency, Engineering, Trading, and Retail. He has handled a variety of assignments in taxation, financial services, foreign collaboration and other liaison with Government departments.  He has served on the board of a few companies. He is also associated with certain charitable organizations.

PARTNER: CA.S. SRINIVASAN B.Sc., FCA
He graduated in Science from the University of Delhi & later underwent C.A. articleship under Ramanand Aiyar & Co., New Delhi.  He also had a stint of industrial training at a large textile manufacturing company at New Delhi.  After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1983, he worked as a qualified Assistant with a large firm of Chartered Accountants at New Delhi for a while, before joining as a partner of M/s. Gokul, Chakravarthy & Co.

In the firm’s practice, he handles auditing, taxation and management accounting.  He has extensively dealt with project reports preparation; assist in arranging term loans, working capital funds, venture capital and other funds. HE has also dealt with fulfillment of SEBI requirements and other matters connected with public issues.  He has done a number of bank audits.
